9am- 5pm
New School University Graduate Faculty Building
65 5th Avenue (between 13th and 14th streets)
$5 registration fee (includes copy of zinesters' guide to NY)
or $5 at the door
tables are free, but there is limited space, so please reserve one beforehand

This fest is centered around gathering together to meet, talk to and forge relationships between zinesters. There will be workshops given by zinesters for zinesters on both days of the fest, as well as tables for zines and distros to display their products for sale and/or trade. The focus of this conference is critically discussing alternative publishing as well as sharing some of the DIY endeavors that we have learned along the way.

Please contact us to register (we are doing registration by email form) and please let us know if you are interested in doing a workshop on any topic. As all DIY ventures go, you will only get out of this fest what you put into it.... so share what you've learned in the zine scene with others by leading a workshop.

Also, if you are looking for a place to stay in the New York area, please join our email list (nyczinefest2000-subscribe@egroups.com) to hook up with other zinesters who may be able to provide you with a couch to crash on. We are not offering housing, but we will try to help you with anything that we can. For information on cheap hostels in New York, check out www.hostels.com and do a city search for New York.
